EMPOWERING

WOMEN

THROUGH

SERVICE

AND ADVOCACY

Zonta International

Objectives:

Advocating for sustainable change

Developing leaders for gender equality

Investing in an equal future for women and girls

Achieving global impact through local action

Empowering member to become global advocates

Zonta International is a leading global organisation of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Founded in Buffalo, New York in 1919, its early members were among the first generation of college-educated women, the first generation of North American women to vote, and  the growing, though still comparatively small, legion of women entering the workforce.

Today there are 1133 zonta clubs in 63 countries, working together to improve the lives of women and girls.

Mission
Zonta International is a leading global organisation of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Vision
Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are recognised as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.

In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
